Stranger Kindness That Touches Your Heart
Stranger Kindness That Touches Your Heart
It was just a random friday night, my sister and I was out shopping for unnecessary stuffs for the weekend. My driver was driving, as usual cos my dad wont let either my sister or me drive even though we both can, and he dropped us at our usual drop off point at this particular mall. Long story short, we are done with shopping and was about to call my driver to pick us up at the same drop off point like we always do. But the phone call could not get through, and he was not there (he always waits at that place for us every time we go to this mall). So we were a bit panicking, cos we couldn't find away to contact him. My sister then approached one of the parking staff to ask whether he ever saw my car (the type as well as the car plate number), knowing at the back of my mind that there is no way he could have seen it as the parking lot is big as hell, and it was full house as it was on Friday. Weirdly the guy told my sister to hang on a moment, and start to run? I was like... uh oh so weird. We waited for approximately 10 minutes, and we saw the staff again running from the second floor of basement to the first floor. I remember telling my sister that there is no way he is searching for our car right? As the parking lot is hugeeeeeeeeee, and there are different parts of lots. But then, the staff came back and he told me that he already asked my driver to come pick us up at the drop off points. Well, in less than 30 seconds, there it was my car. Apparently he couldnt pick up any signal, thats why we couldnt get through him at all.
It is unbelievable how one person can be so kind to a stranger like us, you know? I mean he doesn't have to. He is not obliged to go and help us, or he does not even expect us to give him money or anything. When my sister passed a little bit of money to him, he was refusing so bad that my sister just put it directly to his pocket. I mean, what could have happened should he never help us? We were probably gonna get stucked at the mall until it almost closes or until my driver realized something was off.
He doesn't have to help us and waste his time and energy, I'm sure he had a long day as it was weekend but he helped, and not expecting a single cent from us. I believe that this kind of people still exist, but the funniest part is those who don't own much is surprisingly are those who are willing to help without expecting anything. Where as those who have a lot, are looking for more and more.
I was reading this forum, and got so touched by the stories written by many of the users about stranger kindness that touched their heart. Thought I might share it here, its good to learn to be grateful of what you have and to help other people with no expectation in return. It is in Indonesian though, and you have to log in but trust me it will make your day! :)
